Today a troop of brachiosaurs (arrived). They are stopping over on their way to Snailshanks. Later in the year, this group will come back to bring the oldest hatchlings and children to Treetown. The riders stayed up late, examining the wicker saddle and repairing it. The saddle has carried many generations to Treetown. This year contests (will be held) to see who will go, and this year we may only bring three.
Today was the Blessing of the Vines. A farmer showed me his fruit and described how it grows. Its vines grow on trees with them feeding off each other. The fruit is called sunset fruit or sunselo. It keeps very well and tastes of tangy fruitiness.
Today 2 hatchlings and a child went sledding on the hills as the mother ornitomimus looks on. The dinosaurs use their tails to steer. The anchiceratops sleds alone, while the human is helped by the ornitomimus.
As I learn watercolor, drawing, and practice my Dinotopian writing, I document the Dinotopian year. I hope you enjoy your visit with me on my art journey.

This blog is based on a series of books called Dinotopia by James Gurney. I claim no approval by James Gurney, Arthur Denison, or so on and hope that they don't mind me doing this. If they do, I'll shut down this blog immediately and quietly quit. Thank you, Jim, for writing and illustrating such a good series! Your art is wonderful!
